Teresa Rios Mendez, 77, was born on September 17, 1931 in Azusa, California, and passed away on February 22, 2009 in Rancho Cucamonga, California.
Teresa is survived by her loving children, Yvonne Sierra of El Monte, Lorraine Munoz of Pico Rivera, Debra Almanza of East Los Angeles, Gary Almanza of Whittier, Ronald Mendez of Bakersfield, sister, Lupe Williams of Portland, Oregon, brothers, Joe Chacon of Victorville, Albert Chacon of Los Angeles, Mingo Chacon of East Los Angeles, twenty-one grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Monday, March 2, 2009 at Risher Mortuary Chapel in Montebello, California, with the vigil beginning at 7:00 pm.
Funeral mass will be at 9:00 am on Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at Saint Benedict Catholic Church in Montebello, California.
Graveside service will be held at 12:30 pm on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at the Riverside National Cemetery, staging area #3 in Riverside, California. Teresa will be with to her huband, Leandro R. Mendez, who passed away in 2008.
