Ruby Tovar passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Alva Mendez, and her brother Raul.

She leaves behind her loving children, Angel (Adrian) and David (Stacie); her cherished grandchildren Brittney, Robert Jr., Brooke, Keaka, and Mateo; her siblings Irma, Danny, and Guy; and her beloved cat, Cinnamon Latte, who brought her comfort and companionship.

Ruby was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, and grew up in Compton, California. She was full of life, had a beautiful laugh, and a wonderful sense of humor that could brighten any room. Ruby loved dancing, music, cooking for those she loved, and spending time with family and friends. She also loved going to church and held a deep faith in the Lord and in Jesus Christ.

Ruby dedicated several years of her life to serving others as a nurse. She was loved by many throughout her years at Rancho Los Amigos in Downey, CA, where her compassion, kindness, and caring spirit touched countless lives.

Her family finds comfort in knowing the love she gave so freely will continue through all those who knew her, and in the promise of eternal families and reunion through faith.

Ruby will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of her family and friends.
