RUBEN HURTADO

Ruben Hurtado, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025, in Whittier, California. He was born on November 19, 1938, in Los Angeles, California, and lived a life marked by dedication, resilience, and unyielding love for his family.

Ruben devoted 35 years of his professional life to serving as a manager at a Sears Retail Store. His commitment to providing excellent service and leadership during his tenure left a lasting impact on both coworkers and customers alike. Ruben's work ethic and integrity were reflected in every aspect of his life, earning him respect and admiration from all who knew him.

In addition to his professional achievements, Ruben proudly served his country in the United States Army, demonstrating a spirit of service that extended beyond his military duties. His contributions to the military were an enduring source of pride for him and his family.

Ruben's greatest joy came from his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Josephine Hurtado, and their children: sons Richard Hurtado and Ruben Hurtado, Jr., and daughters Esther Hurtado Diaz and Jennifer Lendo. He was a cherished grandfather and great-grandfather, leaving behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry forward his legacy of love and kindness.
