Rosaria Mauro passed away on October 16, 2026, in Mission Viejo, California, at the age of 91. She was born on June 16, 1935, in Sicily, Italy.

Rosaria will be remembered for the life she built with devotion and quiet strength. She worked as a seamstress for 20 years, a role that reflected her diligence, skill, and care. Her life was marked by love for her family, and those who knew her will remember her with deep affection.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stefano, and her son, Joseph. It is a comforting image to many who loved her that she was met at Heaven’s Gate by them, along with many other family members there to greet her.

Rosaria’s memory will be cherished by her loving family. She is survived by her sons, Carmelo Mauro and Mario Mauro. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Stefano, Nicholas, Sarah, Milanya, and Matteo, as well as her great-grandchildren, Malachi, Mila, Carmelo, and Lorenzo. Their lives stand as part of her lasting legacy, and the love she gave will continue through each generation.

Services to honor Rosaria Mauro will be held on October 26, 2026. A Rosary will take place at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, 820 North Garfield Avenue, Montebello, California 90640, followed by a Mass at 12:00 p.m. at the same location. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, 966 Potrero Grande Drive, Rosemead, California 91770.
