Roberta Joyner 59, Born March 9, 1952 in Los Angeles, California and entered into eternal life on July 29, 2011 in Rosemead, California.
After a nine year battle against breast cancer, former Paso Robles resident Roberta Ronquillo-Joyner, died peacefully in her sleep early Friday morning, July 29 at her family home in Rosemead, California.
Roberta Joyner was the widow of former Paso Robles Golf & Country Club Head Professional, Doug Joyner who passed in 1994. The couple had two daughters, Reyna Joyner-Alailima, 35 and Jaclyn Joyner, 32 who both attended PRHS prior to relocating to Rosemead. Roberta greatly enjoyed working with her friends & associates at Zurn-Wilkins for 20 years and also for Staples office supply. She was an accomplished artist, excellent at genealogies, knitting, and scrap-booking.
The Joyner family enjoyed many prosperous years in the central coast area, playing lots of golf and enjoying fine area wines.
Roberta was a loving Mother and Grandmother; will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Roberta is survived by her mother; Margaret Ronquillo, daughters; Reyna Alailma and Jackie Joyner,son in law Tai Alailima, granddaughters; Jordyn Melendez and Danielle Alailma, siblings; Rebecca Ronquillo, Rachel Ronquillo-Newberg and Richard D. Ronquillo.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 5, 2011 at Risher Montbello Chapel from 4-8:00pm with the prayer service beginning at 7:00pm.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 10:00am at Calvary Chapel 931 S. Maple Ave.,Montebello,CA 90640. Interment will follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier.
