PHILLIP MARTINEZ RAMOS

Phillip Martinez Ramos, a distinguished leader and devoted family man, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025, in Whittier,. Born on July 5, 1923, in Santa Paula, California, Phillip led a life filled with service, dedication, and love.

For over 30 years, Phillip was the Executive Vice President of Philatron, a wire and cable manufacturing company. His contributions to the industry were marked by a commitment to excellence and leadership. In addition to his successful career, he served as the Mayor of Montebello during three terms—1974 to 1975, 1978 to 1979, and 1982—where he strived to better the community he treasured.

Phillip proudly served in the United States Air Force, where he contributed to the nation with honor and integrity. His values of hard work and service extended into every aspect of his life, influencing those around him.

He is survived by his children, Phillip Ramos Jr. (Eloise) of Anaheim Hills and Elizabeth Ramos of Montebello. Phillip's legacy continues through his grandchildren: Phillip Ramos III of Whittier, Nicholas Ramos of Anaheim Hills, Candi Maher (Jonathan) of Placentia, Erik Gildart of Montebello, Joseph Ramos (Chris) of Whittier, Jason Ramos (Angelina) of Whittier, and Jonathan Ramos of Whittier. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Erin Ramos, Phillip Ramos IV, Jacob Gildart Mathany, Gavin Gildart, Jocelyn Gildart, Jacob Ramos, Jennica Ramos, Tommy Blanchard, Timmy Blanchard (Olivia), Jared Ramos, Gina Ramos, Xavier Ramos, Rebecca Ramos, Donovan Maher and Briana Maher.

Phillip was predeceased by his beloved wife of 63 years, Nicole Emma Ramos, and his son, Joseph Ramos. His family and friends will forever cherish the memories of his kindness, wisdom, and warmth. Phillip's spirit and dedication to his family will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
