Paul White, a dedicated accountant, loving family patriarch, and treasured friend, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2026, in Montebello, California. Born in Dexterville, Kentucky, on September 15, 1931, Paul’s life was marked by a steadfast commitment to his work, his family, and the values he held dear.
Paul devoted over 35 years of his professional career to accounting, demonstrating unwavering diligence and precision. His lifelong passion for numbers was evident in his habit of meticulously keeping notebooks and logs—true hallmarks of an accountant through and through. His career found a meaningful home at Western Electric, a workplace that shaped so much of his life and where he was fortunate to meet his beloved wife, Eleanor. Paul’s service extended beyond his professional life; he proudly served his country in the Navy, embodying a sense of duty and honor that stayed with him throughout his life.
Fondly known as “Pop” by his family, Paul was much more than a skilled accountant; he was a man of warmth and generosity. Always ready to lend a hand, Paul was a constant source of support and strength to those around him. His family remembers him not only for his unwavering availability but also for his amazing culinary talents. He delighted many with his cooking, bringing comfort and joy to family gatherings. Outside of work and family, Paul enjoyed watching old country Westerns, a pastime that reflected his fondness for tradition and storytelling.
Paul’s legacy lives on through his loving daughter, Jennifer De La Torre, and her husband, Washington De La Torre. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Nathan Valadez, Briana Valadez, Lisette De La Torre, and Rudy Saenz, as well as his treasured great-grandson, Robert Paul. These family bonds carried great meaning for Paul, reflecting the deep connections and love he fostered throughout his life.
He is now reunited with his beloved wife, Eleanor, greeted at Heaven’s Gate, leaving behind memories that will continue to inspire and sustain his family and friends.
