Mitchell served the City of Los Angeles as a Fireman for 31 years.
Mitchell is survived by his loving wife Katherine Flatos, son, Anthony (Donna) Flatos, daughter, Barbara (David) Castaneda, grandchildren Rich (Shannon) Ungeheuer, Alec Flatos and his fiance Lindsay Vollmer, his great-grandchildren, Brody and Halle Ungeheuer.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Risher Mortuary Chapel in Montebello, California, with interment following at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, California.
