Michael Robert Hopkins, 53, was born on April 10, 1968 in Whittier, California to William R. Hopkins and Theresa Francis Janowicz, and entered into eternal rest on May 28, 2021 in Los Angeles, California.
With esprit de corps, Michael proudly served in the United States Marine Corps as a machine gunner and was honorably discharged for his dedicated service to our great nation. Michael also dedicated over 10 years of hard work while working as an industrial contractor working in the building construction industry.
Michael was proud to be a Marine and he loved his country. He remained close with many of his brothers in arms who served alongside him. Michael always had a smile on his face for anyone who crossed his path. Everybody loved to be in Michael's company. During his stay at the VA hospital, the nurses had gathered on a day and sang his favorite song "Hotel California" by The Eagles. Michael will forever be remembered as a loyal friend and always a fighter who would never give up on those who he believed in.
Michael is survived by his loving family: Siblings, William Daniel Hopkins, John Hopkins, Theresa Williams, Natalie and Charli Morgan who he loved like they were is own daughters, along with other family and friends who will miss him dearly.
"...And when he gets to Heaven,
to St. Peter he will tell,
another Marine reporting sir,
I've served my time in hell."
Condolences for Michael can be sent to his brother in arms Castulo Romero.
