Merlyn Lisa Carlson was born to Dale Carlson and Jeanne Kempster in Whittier, Califonia on November 1, 1961 and entered into eternal rest on March 6, 2015. She was 54 years old.
Merlyn had a great love for animals of all kinds, especially "Sasha" her husky and her cat "Snow". She loved swimming, biking, the ocean, hiking in Yosemite and traveling to Palau. She collected swords and was an excellent photographer.
Merlyn was survived by her partner for 20 years, Bill Lidyoff of Montebello, her sister Wendy (Gary) Nelson of Rancho Cucamonga and her brother John (Dee) Carlson of Redding.
She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Merlyn in life was a big advocate for animal welfare. In lieu of flowers you may also make a donation to save an unwanted pet at the ASPCA's website in honor of her. The ASPCA will send either an e-card or regular card in the mail on your behalf. If you choose the e-card option, use
