A proud veteran, Mathew served in the Army during both World War II and the Korean War, demonstrating exceptional courage and commitment to his country. His experiences shaped him into the man he became, one who valued hard work and resilience.
In his professional life, Mathew made significant contributions to the automotive industry, owning car dealerships in Pasadena. Additionally, he held the role of regional manager for inventory at large retail stores, including Zodys, where he displayed an unyielding work ethic and leadership abilities.
Above all, Mathew was a devoted father to his daughters, Susan E. Hanks and Nancy C. Winston. He took immense pride in their accomplishments and fostered a loving and supportive environment for them to thrive. As a loving grandfather, Mathew enriched the lives of his family members with fond memories and cherished moments.
