MARIA GALLEGOS

Maria Gallegos, born on October 1, 1950, in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025, in Downey, California. She was a remarkable individual whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. For over 50 years, Maria dedicated herself to her career as a legal secretary, where her professionalism and expertise earned her respect and admiration.

A woman of immense generosity, Maria was known for her adventurous spirit. She possessed a quick wit and a wonderful sense of humor that brightened the days of those around her. Her passions included a love for mariachi music, Chinese food, and musicals. In pursuit of her love for music, she took violin lessons as an adult, demonstrating her commitment to lifelong learning and enjoyment of the arts.

Maria is survived by her beloved brother, Moises Gallegos, and his wife, Patricia, of Hermosillo, Sonora, MX. She also cherished her cousins, Marina Rodriguez of Guadalajara, Jalisco, MX; Reyna, Martha, Emma, Joel and Hugo from Mexico City, MX; Rodolfo, Roberto, Cesar and Marco from Hermosillo, Sonora, MX; and Socorro Osuna of Los Angeles.  Additionally, she leaves behind many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and other loved ones including Moises, Francisco, and Maria Guadalupe Gallegos, Alfonso Gomez, Gabriela Morris, Wendy Martinez, Carlos Martinez, Stacy Carrillo, Stephanie Baranzani, Sofia Martinez, and Carlos Martinez.

Her memory will be honored during a graveside service on July 5, 2025, at Resurrection Cemetery, located in Rosemead, California. The service will start at 1:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to come together to celebrate Maria's extraordinary life and the lasting impact she made on those who had the privilege of knowing her.
