It is with deep respect and heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Lucia Garcia, a cherished daughter of Bellflower, California, who left us on June 3, 2026, in Whittier, California. Born on May 5, 1977, Lucia’s life was a tapestry of love, dedication, and unwavering family devotion.

Lucia will long be remembered as a loving sister, niece, and aunt, whose presence brought warmth and joy to her family and community. She was blessed with an abundant circle of siblings who survive her and who will carry forward her memory with honor. Her sisters—Bertha Vallejo, Ofelia Garcia, Juana Rosales, Flavia Carmona, Clemencia Rodriguez, and Maria Elva Rodriguez—stand united in their sorrow and remembrance. Alongside them are her brothers: Jose De Jesus, Delfino Garcia, Gonzalo Garcia, and Moises Garcia, all of whom were privileged to share in her life’s journey.

Family was the cornerstone of Lucia’s heart, and her influence touched many beyond the bounds of blood. Those who knew her will remember her gentle spirit, her loving nature, and her quiet strength. Friends, family, and loved ones will gather to honor and celebrate Lucia’s life through several services. A visitation and reception will be held on June 25, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Risher Mortuary & Cremation Service, located at 1316 W Whittier Boulevard, Montebello, California 90640. The following day, a Mass will be offered in her memory at 9:30 AM  on June 26, 2026, at St. Benedict Church, 1022 West Cleveland Avenue, Montebello, California 90640.
