Joaquin Zepeda, born on October 24, 1948, in Durango, Mexico, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025, in West Covina, California. His life left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
Joaquin, affectionately known as "Jack," dedicated a significant portion of his life to his career as an Ice Man in the food industry, serving diligently for a decade. Music was an integral part of his life; he had a deep love for playing various instruments, including the harmonica, guitar, keyboard, and most notably, the accordion.
Above all, Joaquin was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, whose love for his family was immeasurable. He is survived by his three beloved daughters, Alma Zepeda, Alicia Palacios, and Lorena Zepeda, along with ten cherished grandchildren and four adored great-grandchildren. The joy and fond memories he created with his family will forever be his enduring legacy.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Alicia Ibarra Zepeda, and two sons, David Zepeda and Joaquin Zepeda Jr. Their memories remain woven into the fabric of his life, resonating within the hearts of his family.
Services to honor Joaquin Zepeda will be held at Risher Mortuary & Cremation Service in Montebello, California. Visitation is scheduled for July 11, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, followed by a Prayer Service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
Joaquin Zepeda’s life was a testament to love, hard work, and unwavering devotion to family. He will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
