Born on May 5, 1936, in Los Angeles, CA, Hope’s life was a testament to steadfast dedication, kindness, and an unwavering love for her family and community. Her journey began in the vibrant neighborhoods of Los Angeles, where she learned the values of perseverance and compassion that would become hallmarks of her life.

Hope devoted over 31 years to the Montebello School District, building a legacy marked by her steadfast service and commitment to every student and colleague she encountered. Through decades of hard work and care, she became beloved by generations, always ready with encouragement and quiet determination to improve the lives of others. Her career was not simply a job, but a vocation marked by integrity, warmth, and generosity of spirit.

Hope’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by three loving sons: Paul Gutierrez, Chris Gutierrez, and Mark Gutierrez, as well as her daughters-in-law, Gina and Abbie. Her heart and legacy are further cherished by her grandchildren, whose lives have been profoundly shaped by her affectionate guidance and enduring support.

Those who knew Hope remember her as a pillar—steady, supportive, and selfless. Whether through her professional life or within the circle of her family, Hope’s kindness left an indelible mark, inspiring all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A visitation will be held on June 29, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Risher Mortuary & Cremation Service, 1316 W Whittier Blvd, Montebello, CA. Her life and faith will be honored with a Mass on June 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, 820 North Garfield Avenue, Montebello, CA. Following the Mass, a graveside service will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, 966 Potrero Grande Drive, Rosemead, CA. Family and friends are invited to a reception at Risher Mortuary & Cremation Service from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the same day to share memories and celebrate Hope’s enduring legacy.

Hope Gutierrez will be deeply missed, but her love, wisdom, and gentle presence remain with those whose lives she touched. Her memory will continue to inspire gratitude, kindness, and resilience in the family and community she so dearly loved.
