Glenn Thomas Picard, 73, of Baldwin Park, California, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025, with family and friends by his side. Born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, on November 15, 1951, Glenn was the son of the late Freddy and Mary Picard.

In 1975, Glenn began a lifelong career as a dedicated roofer and journeyman with Roofers Local Union 220 and was also internationally recognized. He took immense pride in his craftsmanship and was a respected mentor to many in his trade. His passion for learning extended beyond his work; he went to LSU in Louisiana and completed his sophomore year in college. Glenn received his apprenticeship in roofing and was a lifelong student of science, with an insatiable curiosity about the universe.

Glenn’s love of the cosmos was evident in his hobbies. An avid astronomer, he spent countless nights with his telescope, exploring the stars. He was also a talented electronics enthusiast, a passion that complemented his scientific interests. His inquisitive spirit and dedication to his hobbies inspired his family.

Above all, Glenn was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His greatest joy was his family, and he leaves a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his beloved wife, Valerie Picard; his three sons, Thomas Tessler; Kevin and his wife Jennie Picard; Jon and his wife Elizabeth Picard, with granddaughter, Violet Flores Picard. He is also survived by his brothers, Ralph Fredrick Picard and Paul Picard, along with all the rest of the Picard families.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
