FRANCISCA STEPHENS

Francisca Stephens, born on September 11, 1936, in Fabens, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025, in Whittier, California, after a life filled with devotion to her family and dedication to her work. She was a remarkable individual who had a strong work ethic that many admired.

A mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Francisca is remembered fondly by her children: Lisa Applegate, Betty Hernandez, Kristine Lucero, and Bob Stephens. She took immense joy in the lives of her ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Her family meant the world to her, and she loved them "to death," always cherishing their time together.

In her leisure, Francisca found happiness in various hobbies. She had a passion for playing bingo, enjoyed solving puzzles, and immersed herself in arts and crafts. A voracious reader, she particularly loved the novels of Sue Grafton, which provided her with countless hours of enjoyment.

Francisca is also survived by her dear siblings, Andrea Moore and Max Gomez, who shared many cherished memories with her throughout her life. She is met at Heaven's gate by her son Frank Stephens.
