FILOMENO MURRILLO COLON

Filomeno Murillo Colon, a cherished husband, father, and dedicated diesel mechanic, passed away on June 17, 2025, at the age of 70 in Norwalk, California. Born on July 5, 1954, in Zacatecas, Mexico, Filomeno brought warmth and strength into the lives of those who were lucky enough to know him.

With an impressive career spanning 35 years, Filomeno was known for his unwavering commitment to his work as a diesel mechanic. His skills and expertise in the field were matched only by his dedication to family and community. Filomeno's life was a testament to hard work, unwavering perseverance, and profound love for his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Rosemary Colon, who resides in Norwalk, California. In addition to his wife, Filomeno leaves behind a legacy of love through his daughters: Raquel Colon of La Mirada, California, Rosa Yessian of Hemet, California, Christina Simon of Florida, and Valerie Jaime of Corona, California. His son, Jesse Colon, continues the family roots in Zacatecas, Mexico.

Family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him will gather to honor Filomeno’s life. Visitation will take place on July 2, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Risher Mortuary & Cremation Service, located at 1316 W Whittier Blvd, Montebello, CA 90640. A funeral service will follow on July 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM, hosted at Calvary Chapel Downey, located at 12808 Woodruff Avenue, Downey, CA 90242.
