Esther Pulido
January 17, 1931 — January 4, 2013
Esther Pulido, 81, was born in Mexico on January 17, 1931 and passed away in Los Angeles on January 4, 2013, only two weeks shy of her 83rd birthday. She was the child of Isabel Anguiano and Juana Hernandez. Esther is predeceased by her husband of more than 50 years, Jesus Acosta Pulido, the two moved to Los Angeles in the early 60's where she was a seamstress in her working years for more than 30 years. Her home was always open to friends and family whether it was a time of need of a simple visit. Esther was not only known as a loving wife and beloved mother but as a nurturing caretaker as well.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2013 from 5-9:00pm in the Risher Montebello Mortuary chapel with a Catholic vigil at 6:30pm also in the chapel. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 9:00am at San Francisco Church in East Los Angeles with interment following at Rose Hills Memorial Park.
She is survived by her son, Oscar Pulido (Jessica Williams) of Los Angeles, her sister, Bertha Anguiano of Fontana, and her nieces Esther Vega of Fontana and Juanita Anguiano of Fresno.
