EMMETT VALINTINO
DAVILA
Aug 26, 1969 — Sep 5, 2026
Emmett Valintino Davila, of Montebello, California, passed away on September 5, 2026, at the age of 57. He was born on August 26, 1969, in San Gabriel, California.
Emmett will be remembered as someone who brought warmth and personality wherever he went. He loved cooking, and those who knew him will remember the special joy he took in making spaghetti for everyone. Music and dancing were also among his great pleasures, and he especially loved dancing to disco. He carried himself with a style all his own, and he took pride in his pompadour when he had hair, a detail that remains a fond and smiling memory for those who loved him.
Family was at the center of Emmett’s life. Although he did not have children of his own, he considered his nieces and nephews his children, and he shared with them the kind of love, attention, and presence that made that bond deeply meaningful. He is lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom were an important part of his life and brought him great pride and joy.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rudolfo Davila; his mother, Matilda Davila; his sisters, Barbara Meredith (Davila), Sally Villalobos (Davila), and Sylvia Moreno (Davila); and his brothers, Sal Davila and David Davila.
Emmett’s memory will live on in the hearts of the family members and loved ones who shared in his life, his meals, his music, and his laughter. He will be remembered with love for his devotion to family, his lively spirit, and the happiness he found in feeding others, enjoying good music, and dancing the night away.
