EMILIO CAMPOS

Emilio Campos, born on June 23, 1932, in Mexico City, Mexico, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025, in Covina, California, at the age of 93. He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years: Maria Campos, as well as three children: Emilio, Juanita and Roberto Campos from his first marriage and four step-children: Vinnie Beltran, Tony, Lupita, and Fernando Torres. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

He made his way to California in the late sixties looking for a fresh start, Although he was a landscaper at first, he eventually found a job at United Foam Corporation, where he was a loyal employee until his retirement.

Emilio was a loyal Dodger fan, always sure to tune in on TV or the Radio when he couldn’t attend games in person. When it came to football, his allegiance turned to the Dallas Cowboys.

He always enjoyed being around family, especially family get-togethers with extended family and friends that included carne asada and cold beer. He also looked forward to occasional trips to Las Vegas or the local casinos.

A visitation to honor Emilio will take place on August 12th, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Risher Mortuary & Cremation Service, located at 1316 W Whittier Blvd, Montebello, CA 90640. The following day, August 13th, a Mass will be celebrated in his honor at St. Anthony’s Church, located at 1901 South San Gabriel Blvd, San Gabriel, CA, starting at 11:00 AM. Immediately following the mass, the Graveside Service will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, 966 Potrero Grande Drive, Rosemead, CA.
