Elva Lara

Elva Lara, 76, was born in San Salvador, El Salvador on February 3, 1941 to Fernando and Jesus (Portillo) Lara and passed away in West Covina, CA on May 4, 2017. Elva had previously worked in a school district serving children for 20 years.
She is survived by her loving family, sons, Rigo (Veronica) Abrego of Baldwin Park, Armando (Rosa) Abrego of Whittier, Edgardo (Susan) Abrego of Temecula, Daniel (Michelle) Abrego of Ontario and her daughter, Nancy Ortiz of Montebello. She leaves a legacy of 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren as well as her siblings, Caridad Duran, Martha Villa and Mauricio Lara, all of Pico Rivera, Alfonso Portillo of El Salvador and numerous nieces and nephews. Elva was met at Heaven's Gate by her sons, Fernando Abrego and Randy Bonilla and her sisters, Consuelo Herrera and Amanda Lara.
