DONA BROWNING

DONA BROWNING, a beloved figure in her community and an accomplished professional, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025, in Alhambra, California. She was born on January 14, 1938, in Eagle Rock, California and lived her life with dedication and passion.

Dona had a remarkable career as the Vice President of Research for the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, where she significantly impacted the plumbing and mechanical industries. Her dedication to her work and her expertise earned her deep respect among her colleagues and peers.

She is survived by her cherished family. Her son, David Browning (Michele) resides in Pasadena, along with her grandsons, Carson Browning of Pasadena and Devin Browning (Ghenwa) of Princeton, Texas. Dona's legacy continues with her granddaughters, Cassidy Browning of Pasadena, Meghan Mahoney of Lincoln, Delaney Escobar (Johnny) of Fontana, and Kylie Browning of Long Beach. She was a proud great-grandmother to Mila Browning and Ava Browning of Princeton, Texas, and Rory Escobar of Fontana. Additionally, her great-grandsons, Caiden Mahoney, Blake Mahoney, and Logan Mahoney of Lincoln were lucky to have her influence in their lives.

Dona joins her late husband, Gerald Browning, and her two sons, Dennis Browning and Donald Browning, who predeceased her. She will also be reunited with her beloved sisters, Phyllis Burney and Nancy Scarrow.

A graveside service to honor and celebrate Dona’s life will take place on November 18, 2025, at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California, starting at 11:30 AM. Friends and family are invited to gather and pay their respects to a woman who touched countless lives with her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering spirit.
