Denise Isabel Scott, 41, was born on April 28, 1981 in Downey, California to Josephine Thome and Thomas Scott. Denise entered into eternal rest on March 11, 2023 in Whittier, California.
Denise was a dedicated mother, a daughter, a sister, a fiancé, a friend, a mentor, and an admired colleague. There was absolutely nothing Denise couldn't do that she put her mind to and more importantly, there wasn't a person who she came into contact with that didn't see her as a beacon of light.
Her most important role was that of an active and involved Mom. She loved everything about being a mother and doted on her two beautiful children, Riley (11) and Hailey (5). They were her world and she would do anything and everything for them.
Denise was a beautiful human being who was taken too soon. This world will not be the same without her light, her smile, and her love. Her time with us was short but impactful and everlasting on each of us.
A memory book of Denise is being made for Riley and Hailey to help them remember the impact their mother had on this world and the beauty she added to it. Please send any photos and a message or memories to the family.
Denise is survived by her loving family: Son - Riley, Daughter - Hailey, Mother - Josephine Thome, Father - Thomas Scott, Sister - Jennifer Lynn Thome, Brother - Donald Scott, Niece - Rejeanne Garcia, and other members of the Scott Family. Denise will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Denise was reunited at the gates of heaven with her brother David.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to her GoFundMe
The funds will be used to offset the cost of memorial services for Denise and any remaining funds will be placed into a college fund for Riley and Hailey.
