David Belasco Jr.,80, was born in San Antonio, Texas on February 7, 1932 and passed away in Whittier, Ca. on February 8, 2012.
David was previously self-employed in computer sales for 40 years. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was given an Honorable Discharge as a Drill Sargeant.
David loved his family and always gave to them in any way he could and was concerned for their well being. While he was a caring and giving man, he was also very strict because he was a Drill Sargeant with the U.S. Marine Corps. He loved to go to the ocean, was an avid sports fan (especially the LA Angels), was a jokester and a flirt. He was always impeccably dressed and very neat. His favorite quote was "I'm 39 & holding," and his theme song was Frank Sinatra's "I Did It My Way."
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2012 from 5-9:00pm in the Risher Montebello Mortuary Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held the same evening at 6:30pm also in the Chapel. Interment will take place at Fort Rosecrans Cemetery in Point Loma, Ca.
He is survived by his daughters, Cynthia Belasco and Debra Belasco-Grady, both of Pico Rivera and his son, David Belasco IV of Whittier. He also leaves 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, and his brother, Rudy Belasco of Washington, along with 1 niece and 1 nephew.
