Obituary

Cynthia Marie Salatich, born July 29, 1958 and passed away on Friday, March 27 in Downey CA. Cynthia was a beloved wife, mother, family member and friend to all of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Cynthia was a person of faith who always prayed and believed that faith and family were the foundation of life. This strong belief served her well in this life and she never missed the opportunity to live each day of her life to the fullest sharing her love and kindness with others.

Cynthia always stated that she was blessed to be a stay-at-home mom and raise her three boys, Anthony, Michael, and David, whom she loved dearly. She was deeply proud of her boys and cherished the time she spent with them providing an environment of love, laughter and support.

She shared a close bond with her brothers Robert and Donald, always putting their needs and happiness at the forefront. She was especially close to her Aunt Yolanda whom she loved dearly and was like a sister to her.

She also had a deep love for all family members prioritizing relationships above all else. She got excited when a family member, or friend, announced the next wedding, graduation or birthday party. Cynthia was always there taking the opportunity to laugh and make memories with all her cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Cynthia made friends easily and managed to keep many of them as lifelong loving friends. She was like that. People loved to be around her. Cynthia was a big-time talker always ready to lighten the mood with jokes or her infectious laughter, always seeing the positive in life.

She was also a person always on the move and cherished the opportunities to travel with friends, family and Gary, her husband of 39 years. Upon retirement she traveled throughout the United States and always managed to schedule a yearly cruise or two. The experience of visiting unfamiliar places gave her immense joy. Cynthia also loved learning new things and spent a majority of her spare time doing gardening, baking and arts and crafts.

As we remember Cynthia we celebrate her life filled with laughter, love, and devotion to family. For this, she will be dearly missed and will remain in our hearts forever.
