In Loving Memory of Christopher Lewis Rose
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Chris, who departed this life on Father's Day, June 21, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. He held on for as long as his body would allow, demonstrating the same strength, determination, and resilience that defined his life.
Chris was an accomplished educator; he inspired countless students through his love of learning. He was also a talented writer and a brilliant historian; he self-published a book titled, "500 Most Influential People" with the creative use of postage stamps as visuals.
Outside the classroom and the written page, Chris was an avid golf enthusiast, both as a player and as a fan. He loved hiking scenic trails and exploring outdoors.
Chris was awarded an official certificate by the Guinness World Records in 2018 for growing the world's tallest rose bush (5.689 m. or 18 ft. 8 in.), a fitting accomplishment for a man whose last name is “Rose."
Above all, Chris was a family man. He shared his life with his spouse, Teena, was a proud father to Kristine, and a doting grandfather to Ezra, all of whom brought him heartfelt happiness.
A celebration of Christopher's life will be held at Forest Lawn, Covina, on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Please wear comfortable shoes because there is required walking on grass and a downhill slope to reach the site.
As we gather to remember him, we invite all who knew and loved Chris. Together, let us honor his life in history.
