In Loving Memory of Christopher Lewis Rose
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Chris, who departed this life on Father's Day, June 21, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. He held on for as long as his body would allow, demonstrating the same strength, determination, and resilience that defined his life.
Chris lived a life of curiosity, passion, and purpose. An accomplished educator, he inspired countless students through his love of learning. He was also a talented writer and a brilliant historian.
Outside the classroom and the written page, Chris found peace in nature. He loved hiking scenic trails and exploring the outdoors.
Chris holds the Guinness World Record for the world's tallest rose, a fitting accomplishment for a man whose last name is “Rose”.
Above all, Chris was a family man. He shared his life with his spouse, Teena Rose, was a proud father to Kristine Rose and a loving grandfather to Ezra Rose-Garcia, of whom brought him immeasurable joy and pride.
A celebration of Christopher's life will be held at Forest Lawn, Covina, on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Please wear comfortable shoes because there is grass and downhill walking required.
As we gather to remember him, we invite all who knew and loved Chris. Together, let us honor his life in history.
