CARLOS GOMEZ MENDOZA

September 3, 1944 – March 23, 2026

It is with deep respect and solemn remembrance that we announce the passing of Carlos Gomez Mendoza, who left this world on March 23, 2026, in Pomona, California. Born in the quaint town of Bisbee, Arizona, Carlos’s life spanned over eight decades, marked by a steadfast faith and a love for music that touched the hearts of those around him.

Carlos was a devoted man of faith who found profound joy in his relationship with the Lord. His love for music, especially his passion for playing the guitar, was a beautiful expression of his spirit and brought comfort and joy not only to himself but to many who heard his melodies.

He is lovingly remembered by his son, Carlos Ronnie Mendoza III, who carries forward his father’s legacy. Carlos also leaves behind a supportive circle of siblings – his brothers Raul (Nancy), Art, Richard, Johnny, and Eddy, and his sister Vicky – along with numerous cherished nieces and nephews who will forever hold his memory close.

Carlos was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Stella, who now greets him at Heaven’s Gate. The bond they shared is remembered with warmth and reverence.

As we honor Carlos’s life, we hold onto the comforting words he embraced: “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” – 2 Timothy 4:7–8
