Bertha dedicated her life to the service of others, particularly through her role as a school office clerk for over 44 years. Her unwavering commitment to taking care of students reflected her nurturing spirit and deep love for education, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives.
Throughout her life, Bertha found joy in her many interests, particularly in being an active participant in her church choir. This involvement not only allowed her to express her love for music but also fostered connections within her community that she cherished deeply.
Bertha is survived by her loving daughters, Vicki Cuthbertson and Melanie Powers. Her legacy continues through her three granddaughters and four great-grandsons, who carry forward the values she instilled in them with her kindness and dedication.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oran Richard Whalan. Bertha’s life was a testament to love and service, and she will be missed dearly by all who had the privilege to know her.
