His family and close friends are profoundly saddened by his departure but his legacy will continue on through his loving wife, Sonia, and his six children; Arleen, Benjamin, Amado, Michael, Eileen, and Andrew as well as his 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Amado, you are loved, you will be missed, and you will always be in our hearts.
Amado Madrid was known to his friends and family as Mado, Mo, Big Money Mo, Cyclone, and Big Cycs. At the age of 16, due to his father’s passing, Amado was left to be the man of the house and protector of his mom and six sisters. Two years later Amado met Sonia and her two kids and they began their 40-year adventure together.
Amado became a dad to Sonia's two kids Arleen, 3 years old, and Benny, 2 years old. Five years later Sonia and Amado grew their family with the addition of his first-born Amado and later had Michael, Eileen, and Andrew. Throughout his lifetime Amado always set an example of being a hardworking man who dedicated over 10 years in the oil fields. An unfortunate back injury prevented him from continuing in the fields. Amado struggled for a period, but he never gave up trying to provide the best for his family by continuing to pursue a variety of hands-on jobs. He understood the value of hard work and enjoying life. He also loved teaching his boys how to work with their hands so that they too could become a "jack of all trades".
With family, music, and road Dogs by his side, Amado would enjoy camping, he loved the outdoors. He also had a deep love for dogs, classic cars, celebrations, and moments with family and friends. Amado loved to dance, listen to music, fish, and work on cars. He was a clean, neat, and organized type of man. Amado will always be remembered as a confident, strong, fearless, courageous, witty, comedic, and intelligent husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Amado never failed to make a great first impression. He will always be remembered as a protector and a provider.
