Alejandro De Elias (Alex), born on October 28, 1966, in Queretaro, Mexico, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2025, in Downey, California. He lived a vibrant life marked by dedication and compassion, particularly in his career as a therapist, which spanned over 23 years. Alex devoted himself to helping others, providing support and guidance that reflected his deep commitment to the well-being of those around him.

Alex was born in Queretaro, Mexico, and he lived his childhood in Mexico City. He came to live in the U.S. when he was 19 years old. Alejandro had various occupations; he worked at a Furniture Store, Taco Bell, Organ Exchange, Cerritos College, a Law office in downtown LA, and at Amanacer (2002-2016). During the later years, he had his own practice. He also worked for Better Help.

In 1999, Alex completed his Bachelor's Degree from Cal State Los Angeles. In 2003, he obtained his Master's Degree. Later, he also had the opportunity of completing his Psy. D in 2018.

Alex loved to perform in his youth; He sang and played the guitar. With his family, Alex enjoyed watching action movies, going to theme parks, and going out for breakfast at some of his favorite local restaurants. He also enjoyed playing video games and board games as a family. He also loved to travel; His favorite locations were Las Vegas, Hawaii, Boston, Orlando, New York, London, Paris, and Rome.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Maria De Elias, and his cherished children, Andrew De Elias and Vivian De Elias.

He is also lovingly remembered by his mother, Rosamaria Leon. He was preceded in death by his father, Francisco De Elias.

He leaves behind his beloved siblings and their families: his sister, Susan Peña and her husband Ed Peña, along with their children, Michelle Bushway and David Peña; his brother, Ricardo De Elias and his daughters, Pamela De Elias and Valeria De Elias; and his sister, Gabriela De Elias and her husband Rolando Basáñez, along with their children, Ulises Basáñez, Veronica Basáñez, and Andrea Basáñez.

Alejandro’s family was his pride and joy, and he instilled in them the values of love, empathy, and resilience. His presence will be deeply missed by his family, as well as many friends who cherished his kindness and wisdom.
