HECTOR JOSE BORDAS

May 2, 1932 - April 7, 2022

Hector Jose Bordas (known by all as Papi), 89, was born in Cuba to Julio Bordas De La Fe and Elia Alonso Cata Bordas and entered into eternal rest on April 7, 2022. Hector is survived by his loving family: Wife of 65 years, Maria Josefa Bordas, Children, Hector J. Bordas, Julio Bordas married to Blanca Bordas, Anthony Bordas married to Joann Bordas, Grandchildren, Andrew Joseph Bordas, Nikki Bordas, Julianna Bordas, Matthew Bordas, Ally Bordas, Brother Julio Bordas, along with other family and friends who will miss him dearly. Papi was an open, caring and very generous man. He was a person that building and cultivating relationships was the most important thing in life. He also was always willing to work hard and sacrifice for others. After the death of his father (at a very young age), Papi left the university to help run the farming operations while his brother finished the university. Papi and his brother Julio then ran a successful operation despite the criticism of others. Papi married Fefa and had three sons. They left Cuba in the mid-sixties to provide better opportunities and life for the family. Cuba was destroyed by communism and the United States was seen as the land of opportunity and freedom. Papi worked very hard to provide for his family. Through his hard work, he bought several businesses and grew them successfully. Papi’s and Fefa’s hard work resulted in three sons becoming professionals and successful in their own right. Papi’s love for Fefa was evident until the last moment. He continued to kiss his beautiful Fefa until his last breath. Papi was a beautiful man that had friends far and wide. He is now back in Cuba enjoying the warm humid air and walking through the fields of his beloved land. Condolences may be sent to the family through our website.
