David Victor Rodriguez

David Victor Rodriguez was born April 10th, 1935 in Los Angeles California to Vincent and Carmen Rodriguez.
David “Vic” grew up in the city of Montebello. Early in his life he excelled as a student and sportsman, playing basketball, baseball and football. Being a Montebello Oiler and community member formed his desire to serve his country directly after graduation entering the United States Marine Corp.
He served in Korea Japan and Hawaii. On leave he traveled back home to Los Angeles where he met the love of his life Barbara.
David and Barbara celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary in July. Together they loved three children, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
David worked as a purveyor for all of Southern California providing fruits, vegetables, and all things nourishing for over 40 years. He was a craftsman, woodworker, Sunday school teacher, sports fan, and outdoors-man . He loved to fish, boat, swim and cook. For 50 plus years David has worked in the church teaching, building, and doing any tasked needed. His passion for Christ shined for all to see.
David leaves behind his loving family: Wife, Barbara Rodriguez, Daughter, Flora (Mike) Cerreto, Daughter-in-Law, Tammi Scurto, Grandchildren, Victor (Esther) Cerreto, Nathaniel Rodriguez, Vincent Cerreto, Elizabeth Walls, and Crystal Rodriguez, 6 Great Grandchildren, and other family and friends that will miss David dearly.
David Victor Rodriguez, 84, entered into eternal rest on August 8, 2019 in West Covina, California. He was met at the gates of Heaven by his Children, Ralph Rodriguez and Sherry Rodriguez Hoehn, and his Siblings, Vincent Rodriguez, Carmen Mora, Ramona Horn, and Regina Harrison.
